Rwanda Joins Francophone Peacekeeping Talks in Morocco

Rwanda is among countries participating in an international meeting in Rabat, Morocco, focused on strengthening the role of French-speaking nations in global peacekeeping efforts.

The conference was organized jointly by Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the French government, and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.

Participants discussed ways to reinforce cooperation among Francophone countries in peacekeeping operations, especially in regions facing insecurity and armed conflict.

Rwanda was highlighted as one of the leading contributors to international peacekeeping missions through its deployment of troops and police officers under the United Nations and other international partnerships.

The meeting also focused on increasing Africa’s role in finding solutions to security challenges across the continent.
